Watching the videos inside the blog

Hey guys,
Some of you are having trouble viewing videos inside the blog from "megarotic"(Like Steve in CA. Sorry Steve). There's sometimes a banner that appears at the bottom. If you see it, you will see a "X" at the right top hand corner. Click on that and it will close the banner. If that doesn't work, you can always double click on the video itself while it's open and it should take you to the video via a different window where you shouldn't have trouble viewing it anymore. Hope that solves that problem boys.

Gay Themed Movies: Douche Froides (Cold Showers)

When a film treads familiar territory - which Doche Froides indeed does - there had better be a higher than average aesthetic to go along with its otherwise tired old story - in order for it not to be such a been-there-seen-that kind of experience. Well, I'll tell you what - Douche Froides does not have that higher than average aesthetic - which ultimately leaves the film a much flatter work than it very well should be.

Even with such a quiet and introspective demeanor, a few overtly stunning scenes (the initial sexual awakening between the three main characters, with its close-ups of writhing arms and legs - never quite sure of who is who - gives a strainingly odd erotic feel to the rest of the film) and a performance from Salomé Stévenin as the female third of the central Ménage à Trois, that is equally subtly brilliant and passionately sublime, Douche Froides still merely plays at what it searches for - instead of actually finding it.

Ultimately, with a theme that has been done far superiorly (Y Tu Mama Tambien) and far inferiorly (Threesome and Three to Tango), this film lies somewhere in between - both almost succeeding and nearly failing.

San Diego, and especially San Diego County, is ground zero for Proposition 8. The big churches that back the amendment are there, and a disproportionate number of the money and signatures gathered to place it on the ballot came from there.

Last week, the San Diego Union-Tribune came out against Prop 8: "The right of gay and lesbian couples to wed on an equal legal basis with heterosexual couples has long stirred opposition not only among social conservatives but also among a much broader swath of society. But in the four short months since a landmark California Supreme Court ruling legalized gay marriage, a significant social shift seems to have occurred.

Open Thread

Spending the last night at our house with my best friends

(these pics were taken one night during my trip home for a family reunion.  The main reason for the trip was to see my mom & dad. It had been almost a year since we all had been together as a family so this night was that much more important.)

My Mom & Dad are my bestfriends.  I love them to death and hate saying good bye.  It was nice coming home and seeing everyone and catching up.  But no matter how long you stay it never seems to be enough.  It went by so fast and there wasn't a day that went where we weren't with mom & dad.  

  My mom and dad now live in the Cayman Islands and live a fabulous life on a beautiful island.  Crazy thing is I'm fucking stressed all the time with all those damn hurricanes crashing the party.  Anyhow, my point is I travel back and forth between Canada and the states and we don't get to see them as often as we used to.  So it meant that much more seeing them and spending time with them.  

What added to it was the fact that our house was about to be sold.  So not only was it our last night with Mom and Dad before we jetted to Vancouver, but it was the last time we'd spend it at our old house.  :-(

  Lots of good memories.  Steve proposed to me outside our house on Christmas Eve underneath the stars on a gorgeous clear night.  At the time Steve was on crutches from a surgery he just had on his leg, but he still managed to get down on one knee on the snow and ask me to marry him.  I said yes with the biggest smile I've ever had.  After hugging and kissing each other we shared the news with my mom & dad who were inside.  They welcomed Steve to the family with love and open arms guys.  It was one of the most amazing nights ever and I'm sure you can see why:-)

Ritchson attended Niceville High School and got his modeling start in the Abercrombie and Fitch catalogue. He appeared on American Idol, where he was one of the top 87 contestants in the third season before being cut in Hollywood. This summer Steve & I travelled back to my home province of Saskatchewan for a big family reunion. I did this webcam show from the Delta Hotel in Regina, the provincial capital. Hey guys,
The video drought for members of my site is almost over. We've been hard at work editing the backlog of my live webcam shows (more than a dozen) that's built up during the last couple of hectic months. The first new one will be up on the site in a few days, and the rest will follow at shorter than usual intervals.

I've never been so busy as this summer, what with filming scenes with a lot of new models for the site and travelling. But things will soon be back to normal (even before Steve's and my wedding on October 3rd) and we should be back to the normal routine of no more than a two to three week delay between a live webcam show and the edited version appearing on the site.
